Catherine received a master’s degree in higher education from Boston University and an M.B.A. (with a focus on financing higher education) from Hawaii Pacific University. Before coming to Taft, she worked in higher education for 12 years at Bates College, Boston University, and Hawaii Pacific University. Catherine serves as the Connecticut representative to the New England Regional Collegeboard. She has also worked with several state organizations: the Pacific Association of Financial Aid Administrators, Hawaii Association of College Admission Counselors, and Massachusetts Association of Financial Aid Administrators--helping to provide access to higher education for first-generation and low-income students. Her husband, Bob Ganung, is the chaplain at Taft. They live on campus and work in Congdon. They have two grown children, Ted and Elisabeth.
