Brian has been a secondary school physics teacher for the past ten years, and comes to Taft from The Governor’s Academy in Massachusetts, where he taught the AP Physics 1 and 2 curricula, and introduced a robotics program. Prior to the Governor’s Academy, he was a physics instructor at Severn School in Maryland, where he developed and implemented “Physics First” science curriculum and AP Physics B. Brian received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences, concentrating in Physics with Theoretical Physics. Following this, received his Master in Science degree with honors from King’s College at the University of London in X-Ray Science and Technology, and his PhD from Birbeck College at the University of London in Protein Crystallography. At Taft, Brian will teach Physics and will be an assistant coach of Boys’ Thirds Soccer. He and his family will reside in “The Old Development House”.
